What is ME Desygn?

It's Anne-Marie Désy, 39 years old, mother at home of two adorable curly princesses aged 5 and 3 and a half. In addition to my role as a mother, which I love very much, I also have a visceral need to carry out creative projects with my hands.

When I started sewing during my first pregnancy, I was disappointed with the fabric patterns I found in stores. As an artist since always, I wanted to find a way to have my drawings on fabrics. So I looked into it and learned how to digitize my drawings and turn them into infinitely repeating patterns (seamless pattern). I then found where to have my designs printed on the fabrics I wanted. An infinite world of possibilities opened up for me!

So I managed to figure out how to integrate several of my creative passions into one; watercolor and drawings, pattern design, sewing, photography, and more, to bring you beautiful and sweet creations for your treasures.

With several other passions including wood, construction/renovation, interior design, I am a woman who likes to be busy, and above all, to create, always to create!

My daughters are my muses, they inspire me a lot in my creations, and especially for the drawings and paintings to create my patterns. With their sensory hypersensitivity, they also inspire me to create soft, supple, comfortable clothes without scratchy labels ;)

ME Desygn would not exist without my husband Benoît, who supports me in each of my projects, even the craziest, who is always there to guide me in the business management side with his knowledge from several years of experience in this domain. He is always there to encourage me, and above all push me to go for it!!

When you encourage ME Desygn, you are supporting a family! I hope through this, I can teach my daughters the value of handmade, the strength to get started and believe in yourself, and above all, to do what is good for their soul.

I put a lot of love into each step to arrive at my final products. I am keen to encourage local purchasing, which is why I found a Quebec printer, located in Deux-Montagnes. You therefore encourage local Quebec purchasing twice when you buy in my store. These are quality fabrics, which are OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT certified, therefore inks which are not harmful to human health and proof of sustainable and responsible production of textile and leather.

All my equipment for the manufacture of my products is purchased from Canadian suppliers.

I also want my packaging to be recyclable or compostable.
